Google & Gmail

Pardon folks, me again  - I hear you !!! ;)

Is anyone else having problems with Google and/or Gmail ???
- I use Mozilla Firefox (as a Browser) and DuckDuckGo (as a Search Engine), but I rely on my Gmail account ...
It is 'sort of' working, but I can't follow links or access my contacts :/
(Well I can follow links, but not by clicking on them - I have to save the links and copy them to a new Tab - Annoying of course ...)
Google Chrome won't work at all.

Maybe Google want to start squeezing those who took them for granted with their freebies and now want to start to making money from 'em ???
- I was really hacked off that they stopped supporting Picasa (one of the reasons I stayed with Mint 17.3) ...
Maybe Google want to start squeezing those who took them for granted with their freebies and want to start to making money from 'em now ???

I can and do live without Google as a Search Engine, but it would be really tedious to have to create another email account.

Hmmm etc,
Chris.

I have a gmail account and I have accessed it using Thunderbird for the last 8 years with no problems at all.

Thanks for your swift reply !!!

I seem to have resolved this (at least for now), by using:

1) Centre Cick - Opens a new Tab with the Link ...

2) Right Click - Drops down Menu - Choose 'Open Link in New Tab' etc ...

Not sure why the Left Click no longer works :?

Center click or scroll click is a useful shortcut. We can open new tab with link and we can also close opened tab by it.
