Any good 6-9" ARM netbooks still made?

Postby DJM » Tue May 31, 2016 11:15 am

Always wanted a really small ARM netbook running linux, but it seems like there isn't a market for these 'palmtop' sized computers anymore.

I suppose you could always buy an ARM Chromebook and install Linux on it. Though storage space is always the problem with Chromebooks.

Edit: It looks like the Chromebook Flip is the smallest at 10.1". I have one and it fits in my old netbook pouch that I used with an HP110 Mini.

Yes, I did a search for the smallest chromebook and came up with the same one. 10" is just a bit on the large size for what I was thinking.

It might be that the only option is to go for a tablet with a keyboard - looking at that new ubuntu tablet BQ aquarius I think, with a logitech keyboard. It's a bit annoying though - I don't really want to have to carry around two pieces which could detach, nor have to assemble it if I want to grab a quick note.

Anyone want to make me a linux-powered ARM netbook in a Psion 3 form-factor?!

I would hold fire on the BQ Aquaris for now, I have one and it isn't that usable.

In a word, yes.
Not main stream by any stretch, but I tend to read the LiluiPut [url below] for all things small, interesting and Netbookey......

Ah yes, but for what I need it for, that's way out my price range. Might as well buy an old psion 5mx and put linux on it!
